History

Ever since our owner Greg Sterner was in high school, he knew he wanted to help people get fit, strong and live painfree. Greg decided to pursue his passion and graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. For the past twelve years he has been helping people regain their function, return to sports, and regain their passion for exercise.

Formerly employed for five years at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, Greg earned the distinction of being an Advanced Clinician in the out-patient rehabilitation department. This position of increased responsibility was garnered through increased effort in regards to superior patient successes, continuing education and educating his peers on current best practices and manual techniques.

In addition, while at Scripps Greg also earned his elite certification as a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), a title only a small percentage of the country hold, as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

During the Spring of 2009 Greg realized a lifelong dream and opened the doors to Fitness Together Point Loma, a personal training gym, wellness center and physical therapy service all under one umbrella. With the combined Orthopedic experience and first hand Strength and Conditioning background no other physical therapy practice can replicate the successful outcomes that exemplify our practice.

Greg, his wife Kara, and daughter, Gabriella enjoy getting outside and being active in the great San Diego weather. They reside in Mission Hills.
